Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, has joined forces with Beast Philanthropy and humanitarian organisation CARE to raise funds and deliver emergency assistance to communities affected by severe flooding and landslides in Nepal.

The initiative follows the devastating flash floods and landslides that struck Nepal on August 26, 2026. According to CARE, the disaster affected approximately 1.6 million people, while thousands remained out of contact as of September 14 because damaged roads and bridges had cut off communities.

Rather than simply drawing attention to the disaster, MrBeast and his philanthropic organisation are using his enormous online reach to support a structured humanitarian response.

MrBeast partners with CARE

CARE confirmed on September 15 that it is working with MrBeast and Beast Philanthropy to raise funds for emergency supplies and recovery assistance in Nepal.

The partnership aims to help more than 10,000 people with food, clean water and shelter. Plans include distributing up to 1,500 CARE PACKAGE for Emergencies kits and providing temporary homes for 100 families.

The emergency packages are designed to support a family of four for approximately one month and can contain up to 40 items across shelter, hygiene, cooking, dignity and energy needs.

Among the supplies are temporary shelter materials, cooking equipment, hygiene products, menstrual products, solar chargers and emergency lighting.

$1 million already raised with partners

CARE said that $1 million had already been raised with P&G and other partners, while the organisation, MrBeast and Beast Philanthropy are seeking additional public support for the relief effort.

Nepalese media also reported that Donaldson used Instagram to tell his audience that his team was working to raise millions of dollars for flood-affected families and encouraged followers around the world to contribute.

Importantly, the $1 million figure should not be interpreted as money raised solely by MrBeast’s followers. CARE attributes the amount to P&G and other partners involved in the broader relief effort.

A planned MrBeast video in Nepal was postponed

The campaign also has an unusual connection to MrBeast’s content plans.

Donaldson reportedly said he had been preparing to film a video in Nepal before the disaster. Those plans were postponed following the floods, with attention instead shifting toward helping affected communities.

His creator platforms are now being used to direct global attention toward the fundraising campaign.

Creators are becoming humanitarian distribution networks

The Nepal initiative is another example of how the world’s largest creators are increasingly able to mobilise audiences for causes at a scale once associated primarily with traditional media organisations, NGOs and celebrity-led fundraising campaigns.

For creators such as MrBeast, an audience is no longer simply a distribution channel for entertainment or brand partnerships. It can also become a fundraising network capable of directing millions of people toward a humanitarian campaign within a short period.

In this case, that reach is being combined with CARE’s established humanitarian infrastructure and local partners rather than attempting to independently manage disaster relief.

That distinction matters. The creator provides attention, reach and fundraising power, while an established humanitarian organisation handles much of the operational work required to turn donations into food, water, shelter and emergency supplies.

From content influence to real-world mobilisation

MrBeast has spent years building philanthropy into his creator identity through Beast Philanthropy and large-scale charitable projects.

The Nepal campaign shows how that model can extend beyond creator-led charitable videos into partnerships with established humanitarian organisations responding to active disasters.

For the wider creator economy, it represents a significant evolution in what “influence” can mean.

The largest creators are increasingly capable of doing more than generating views, driving product sales or influencing culture. Their platforms can potentially mobilise global audiences, corporate partners and donations around real-world emergencies.

In Nepal, that creator infrastructure is now being directed toward helping thousands of families recover from one of the country’s major recent natural disasters.
